Dave Acres talks to Rene Wyndham about dyslexia, a language-based learning disability. Dyslexia refers to a cluster of symptoms, which result in people having difficulties with specific language skills, particularly reading, writing and spelling.
Dyslexia runs in families and occurs in people of all backgrounds and intellectual levels. Dyslexics are highly capable and often gifted in areas such as art, computer science, design, drama, electronics, maths, mechanics, music, physics, sales and sports. This year is International Literacy Year.
