Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive
Launched in 2000, Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive spans from 1897 to the present day and currently contains an ever-expanding catalogue of 13,000 items. It comprises material from a variety of depositors including feature films, sport, documentaries, animation, amateur footage, light entertainment, and a significant proportion of broadcast material from the UTV Archive.

Lifestyle magazine series for all the family, featuring items on would-be models at risk, whooping cough and Mother's Day.

Presenter Helen Mark gives an overview of what is coming up on this edition of the weekly family and lifestyle magazine show. There is a warning about young girls being approached by men falsely claiming to be from model agencies and Henry McDonald reports on the issue from CastleCourt in Belfast. Constable Norman Gibson of the Crime Prevention Unit tries to make girls aware of the risk. Alison Campbell, who runs a model agency, also warns girls. Tanya McCaw, a mother of a young dancer/model, is reassured by how an event in CastleCourt is organised. Jenny Stewart of Automatic Disco Dancing tells how they do things strictly by the book.

Gillian Ievers reports on whooping cough. Dr Brian Smith, an expert in communicable diseases, is interviewed. Statistics are given for the decline in the disease since vaccinations started. Cathy Abbas talks about her son's experience with the disease. Una Irwin, a health visitor, talks about the vaccination.

Jacqui Berkley reports on fundraising for the Northern Ireland Children's Hospice on the River Lagan. Brian Adjey, the Children's Hospice Chairman, speaks about the need for more funds. Inspector Stevie Wilson talks about fundraising and a cheque is handed over for £12,000. Emily Rankin, daughter of the TV chefs, Paul and Jeanne, is in studio to show how to make a Mother's Day breakfast.

Stephen Nolan reports on novel ways to celebrate Mother's Day. Patricia Thompson, a complimentary therapist, discusses Indian head massages; Leonard McMaster, a nursery manager, discusses how to select trees to plant for your mother; Maxine Hammond, a bra consultant, discusses bringing your mother in for a personal fitting for a bra.

The Family Show (previously named Family Life) was a weekly magazine style series presenting reports and in-studio features on family matters, from young children, education, mothers, fathers and issues for the elderly, as well as items on cooking, shopping and leisure.

Consumer, health and family issues combine in this UTV magazine series from the early 2000s.
Helen Mark presented this eclectic weekly show for Ulster Television, which embraced all aspects of family life from the home and garden to healthcare; from retail to education; from consumer protection to organisations providing care for those in need. Originally called Family Life before morphing into the Family Show, the series provides a warm snapshot of the times as it deals with the issues affecting everyone from young children to the elderly in the early days of the new century. And it was also to provide a platform for a young rising star in the shape of Stephen Nolan, who embarked upon his award-winning broadcasting career as a roving consumer reporter for the series.
