Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive
Launched in 2000, Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive spans from 1897 to the present day and currently contains an ever-expanding catalogue of 13,000 items. It comprises material from a variety of depositors including feature films, sport, documentaries, animation, amateur footage, light entertainment, and a significant proportion of broadcast material from the UTV Archive.

Lifestyle magazine series for all the family, featuring items on child witnesses of crime and Valentine's Day disappointment.

Presenter Helen Mark gives an overview of what is coming up on this edition of the weekly family and lifestyle magazine show. Report on the ordeals of children having to give evidence in court. Alice Swann, a medical adviser, on the trauma of child witnesses. Detective Sergeant David Cranch for the CARE Unit talks about the methods of helping the kids including the use of video links. Avery Bowser is in studio to talk further on the subject. Margaret Andrews and Pam Surphlis talk about volunteering for the Child Witness Support Service.

Roger Bailey, a clinical psychologist, is in studio to talk about Valentine's Day disappointment and how parents can be sympathetic to children on the subject. Stephen Nolan report asking the public about Valentine's Day. Carol Anne Dornan of Northern Woman magazine on why people perhaps didn't get a card.

Jacqui Berkley presents Snip Bits of bite sized news reports, including a possible link between the decline in teenage smoking and mobile phone use, the withdrawal of Mad About Boys magazine from Woolworths after claims it is unsuitable for young girls, and eating habits during pregnancy with claims that eating fish leads to better eyesight for the child. Chef, Robbie Miller, shows how to make a family meal for £5.

The Family Show (previously named Family Life) was a weekly magazine style series presenting reports and in-studio features on family matters, from young children, education, mothers, fathers and issues for the elderly, as well as items on cooking, shopping and leisure.

The Family Show

Consumer, health and family issues combine in this UTV magazine series from the early 2000s.
Helen Mark presented this eclectic weekly show for Ulster Television, which embraced all aspects of family life from the home and garden to healthcare; from retail to education; from consumer protection to organisations providing care for those in need. Originally called Family Life before morphing into the Family Show, the series provides a warm snapshot of the times as it deals with the issues affecting everyone from young children to the elderly in the early days of the new century. And it was also to provide a platform for a young rising star in the shape of Stephen Nolan, who embarked upon his award-winning broadcasting career as a roving consumer reporter for the series.
