Among the stories are how a team of Yorkshire engineers helped in Britain's first ever formula one victory, Amy Johnson's record-breaking solo trip to Australia, and life as a steam train driver. The programme also looks at life in a shipyard on the Trent in the 1940s, the story of David Brown tractors, and one of the country's premier motorcycling Hill Climbs at Post Hill near Leeds.
