Anne Hailes started her career with UTV right at the beginning. Joining just as the station began broadcasting in 1959. This was the start of a long media career that spanned decades and various broadcasters across the UK.
Ask Anne was created in collaboration with the producer Harry Adair. Its no-nonsense approach to consumer affairs and lifestyle advice made it one of UTV’s highest rated shows in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
