Anne Hailes started her career with UTV right at the beginning. Joining just as the station began broadcasting in 1959. This was the start of a long media career that spanned decades and various broadcasters across the UK.
Ask Anne was created in collaboration with the producer Harry Adair. Its no-nonsense approach to consumer affairs and lifestyle advice made it one of UTV’s highest rated shows in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Topics covered in this collection range from fashion and food to anxiety and education.
