Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Film Archive
Launched in 2000, Northern Ireland Screen’s Digital Film Archive spans from 1897 to the present day and currently contains an ever-expanding catalogue of 13,000 items. It comprises material from a variety of depositors including feature films, sport, documentaries, animation, amateur footage, light entertainment, and a significant proportion of broadcast material from the UTV Archive.

The public discuss the different ages for men and women to recieve bus passes. Anne chats to a television producer and teacher about a new series of educational home videos for children Ask Oscar. They discuss if children can learn from videos such as these, or if producers could be accused of setting up a TV babysitter with these videos. A couple share what life is like living with dementia.

Anne Hailes joined Ulster Television as a production assistant. She went on to present Ask Anne, one of the station's most viewed programmes at the time.

Lifestyle show that covered all types of topics, from health and family matters to education and consumer advice.
Anne Hailes started her career with UTV right at the beginning. Joining just as the station began broadcasting in 1959. This was the start of a long media career that spanned decades and various broadcasters across the UK. Ask Anne was created in collaboration with the producer Harry Adair. Its no-nonsense approach to consumer affairs and lifestyle advice made it one of UTV’s highest rated shows in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Topics covered in this collection range from fashion and food to anxiety and education.
