Anne interviews Maureen Donaldson, who talks about her memoir An Affair to Remember, which details how she, as a 27-year-old, embarked upon a four-year affair with the almost 70-year-old screen legend Cary Grant. She recounts how she was working for The Beatles and was brought to America to work as the nanny for their press manager. She was then working as a journalist when a chance encounter with Grant in a café changed her life. She outlines her troubled relationship with the actor and how his unhappy childhood affected his dealings with others throughout his life.
Actress Penelope Keith is the week's celebrity reviewer and she looks at several new books on gardening. Anne closes the programme by talking us through the UK Top Ten Paperback Fiction Chart.
