Egg Marketing Board: Crossword
Have you ever heard a pork pie grunt? Eggs are the answer in more ways than one in this classic TV ad.
Hancock had many a cross word with Patricia Hayes' Mrs Cravatte character. Even after his half hour was over their bickering continued in a clever series of egg adverts. In this example the conundrums of a crossword provide the perfect foundation for a sitcom advert on the virtues of eggs, which certainly do sound better than eels for breakfast.
Go to Work on an Egg

Confused? Let Tony explain why happiness is egg-shaped. Lift the lid and dip into this selection and we promise you’ll be eggstatic.
