It's a cracking fight between Tony Hancock and Patricia Hayes' Mrs Cravatte to be the face of the Egg Marketing Board. At least 15 ads were made with the celebrated comedian, drawing on the set-up and characters of his landmark sitcom. You could write a whole dissertation on the reflexive nature of the campaign which acknowledges the camera, the audience and the whole endorsement business. Or you could just sit back and enjoy them.
