Travel can put a strain on any holiday.
Doctors warn holidaymakers heading for Cornwall that the stress of travelling there could kill them. Although this sounds rather alarmist, the health risks from stress are very real. There are a lot of expectations around the holidays and stress or depression can ruin them and affect your overall health. 10% of hospital beds are used by tourists during the summer months each year.
58-year-old Peter Knowles finds himself in such a bed at Trelisk hospital in Truro, admitted after he had a heart attack while on holiday and walking in Mullion Cove. Doctors offer warnings about the dangers of travelling in high temperatures or with conditions such heart disease.
