Yorkshire sat at the heart of the industrial revolution in England, and many of those industries' working practices remained core to the county many years later, building Yorkshire's reputation for steel, coal, and even chocolate, as well communities intrinsically linked to these industries. Though now changed, modernized, and in some cases, largely disappeared, even today 'Made in Sheffield' remains a mark of quality known worldwide.
