Where are decisions for rural policies created and passed?
Where are the decisions made for rural areas and by whom? This is the question posed as local MPs feel they don't have enough say over their local areas. Michael Allaby, former editor of the Ecologist, talks about the dual, often conflicting natures of the governing bodies making these decisions on rural areas.
Derek Yeoman the Parish Councillor and MPs Dafydd Wigley and Paddy Ashdown talk about their constituent areas and the issues involved, including decisions needed on agricultural land, planning permission, water authorities, funding, grants and government opportunities.
