Monica Morgan brought Dunmurry Golf Club to court when they wouldn't allow her on the course on a Saturday. She was denied despite holding the position of 'Lady Captain' at Fortwilliam Golf Club, while her two male companions were allowed on the green.
Women who have been campaigning for equality in golf clubs hope this is the start of a change across Northern Ireland and that golf clubs will no longer be able to discriminate against people according to private rules.
