The Women's Conference
New strategies for boosting women in the workplace.
This report covers the 1991 Women's Conference. The Northern Ireland Adult Education Association and the Department of Education detail their plan, '1992 and Beyond', which aims to bring together various public and private sector to plan programmes to support women returning to education, training and work, at a time when Northern Ireland ranks at the bottom of the European table for jobs and training for women. The new measures' objectives include making top jobs more accessible to women and providing support throughout their professional development.
