A celebration of different ways in which people worship in Yorkshire.
This film is a record of how people celebrate through liturgy and ritual, and explores four unique religious acts of worship: the solemnity of a confirmation in the rural location of Sheriff Hutton, the contemplative and meditative Buddhist Puja, the Anglican Evangelists celebrating Harvest Festival, and Diwali celebrations from Bradford's Hindu community. As we are used to reports of the latest decline in church attendance for many Christian denominations, it's easy to forget that many more people go to organized worship each week than go to football matches. The people "saying their prayers" in this film have opened their places of worship to the camera allowing it to witness these contemporary acts of worship in Yorkshire.
