Linen tablecloths or Formica tables - two Bradford curry restaurants.
Bradford: the nation's Capital of Curry. Just as wool was once synonymous with the proud Northern city, it's now hard to imagine Bradford without the senses immediately conjuring up the unique aroma of curry. Following the Second World War, Bradford saw the arrival of many Bangladeshi and Pakistani families, many of whom moved to Bradford in the hopes of finding a career in the textiles industry. But as the industry declined, the newly arrived Bradfordians instead opened up restaurants. So whether it's your local neighbourhood curry house or a fine-dining Indian restaurant, a korma or a vindaloo, you'll be spoilt for choice in the Curry City.
Part of the Yorkshire Media Consortium project, this film examines two Indian curry houses in Bradford, comprising interviews with their respective managers and customers.
