The dramatic campaigns against violence against women in West Yorkshire, from the early 1970s to the present day.
The film uses the Conference on Responses to Male Violence against Women and Children in Leeds in 2000 as a fulcrum to explore issues around violence against women. It is dedicated to all the women who've worked long and hard for many years, highlighting the different climate during which the campaigns took place in the early 1970s to the situation presently. While 1970s Leeds was a very different place - one without rape crisis centres or women's refuges, and held in the grip of the Yorkshire Ripper attacks - progress has been made with better support systems in place and changes in police policy. But twenty years on, and in the wake of the #MeToo movement, it's clear there's still much more work to be done.

The film mainly takes the form of interviews with leading activists in this area, including a senior woman police officer.
