Locals buying and selling various fresh produce from stalls at St George's Market
This film shows clips of people buying and selling items such as fruit, vegetables, fish, clothes, souvenirs, and 'sexy bedsheets'. The sounds of the market hustle and bustle, as well as the shouts of traders, can be heard. Some Belfast locals show off for the camera and the filmmaker speaks to some of the vendors.
St George's Market was built in phases between 1890 and 1896. It is one of Belfast's oldest attractions and recognised as one of the best markets in the UK and Ireland. It is the last surviving Victorian covered market in Belfast.
