Judging Belfast's Santas.
Gerry Kelly reports for Good Evening Ulster, as he asks a father and daughter to conduct a comparison of shopping centre and department store Santas. Various methods of marking the experiences are used, ranging from the displays and the Santas themselves to the costs and the all-important gifts.
After starting at the Co-Op in York Street, Belfast the pair move on to the Tower Centre in Ballymena, which scores very lowly indeed! A Stewarts supermarket in Derry is next before they finish off at Ards Shopping Centre, with very happy results.
Good Evening Ulster was the weekday tea-time local news round-up for Ulster Television throughout much of the 1980s and helped to launch the careers of household names such as Gloria Hunniford and Eamonn Holmes.
