The Area Health Authority is preparing to close the Minor Casualty Unit at St David's Hospital, Cardiff, and feelings are running high at a meeting between the Authority and local residents. Issues aired include the difficulty of attracting consultants, with great arguments put forward from the floor being met by less than impressive responses from the Authority. There is a feeling that the Authority has already decided on its course of action - that, as a resident put it, the arguments for closure are the results, not the reasons for, the closure. Contributions include an impassioned intervention by a man who highlights the lack of Welsh language speech therapy provision. Footage of a street protest is included.
