The burning of second homes is a subject ripe for dramatising by young Welsh filmmakers.
Short drama about the burning of second homes, set in Anglesey. Part of a compilation video of short films titled The Sbec TV Wales 1992 Film and Video Compilation for Young People. The background to this piece is the wave of arson linked to Meibion Glyndwr (Sons of Glyndwr) from the late 1970s to the mid-1990s, in response to the housing crisis that was exacerbated by the buying up of Welsh houses by English people, which inflated the market and put property prices beyond the reach of many local residents.
