Popular celebrities Margaret Lockwood and Patricia Roc share scenes from their latest Gainsborough melodramas while revealing the secret of their beautiful skin, in these adverts for Lux toilet soap - used, apparently, by 9 out of 10 film stars.

The film has unfortunately suffered some deterioration, but it nonetheless retains all of its kitsch charm.
