Schoolchildren from Kilrea in County Derry speak out.
School Around The Corner visits primary schools all over Northern Ireland to hear children's thoughts on life. Host Frank Mitchell chats to the children and always gets some interesting answers. The children also provide the entertainment, showing off their talents. In this episode, Frank meets the children of Crossroads Primary in Kilrea, Co Derry.
Musical entertainment comes from the O'Kanes, who play the accordion. There's poems, Irish dancing and the P6 and P7 choir sing for the audience. The children reveal family secrets such as Mum's favourite song (Sexbomb!) and the best television shows. Ciaran and Catherine tell Frank about the time German children came to visit.
From 1995-2005, School Around the Corner was one of the most popular programmes on UTV. The show travelled to primary schools around Northern Ireland to feature the pupils showcasing their talents and interview children about what is important to them.
