Arthur Moore's home-built radio apparatus receives Titanic's distress signals thousands of miles from the stricken ship.
Cwmfelinfach Junior School pupils animate the story of Arthur Moore, a 24 year old wireless enthusiast from Gelli Groes, Blackwood, who heard the distress signal from RMS Titanic ahead of the arrival of news of the disaster on April 15, 1912. Moore, whose leg had been amputated in his youth due to a work accident, subsequently had a successful career in the development of early radio. This animation was made for the National Museum Wales exhibition 'Pwy Ydym Ni/What Makes Wales' in 2000-2001.
