Elderly people talk about getting by and managing on their income, and whether they are getting all the benefits due to them. Fuel poverty and other privations are causing health and wellbeing problems for the participants. Dr Wilson, a GP in Aberdare and a member of the British Geriatrics Society (a group of doctors concerned with the health and welfare of elderly people), explains that many OAPs in Wales are living in poverty, and urges people to 'forgo pride' around means testing, since it is essential to ensure that people get what is their due. A voice-over outlines types of benefits available, e.g. for fuel, special diets, laundry and exceptional needs. Poor quality picture.
