Guto achieves his goal of beating his race challenger, but the price is high.
The life and tragic last race of famed Welsh runner Guto Nyth Bran (Guto of the Crow's Nest) who died of a heart attack after finishing his race against his challenger, 'Prince' from Bedwas, in September 1737. This portrait of the heroic Guto is not without humour however, as we are reminded of his girlfirend Sian's lucrative betting enterprises around his contests.
