Tyneside miners' wives travelling to Newcastle discuss the reasons behind their protest against the local electricity board's decision to disconnect striking families due to unpaid bills.
Interviews with the wives of striking miners participating in the demonstration against the cutting off by the North-Eastern Electricity Board of power supplies to their homes, conducted during the preparations for the march and during the coach journey to Newcastle, soliciting their views on the 1984 pit strike, the role of women and support groups in the strike and their reasons for taking part in the demonstration.
