The ten-year-olds who want to end a depressing blight on their community.
The village of Kirby Muxloe sits on the edge of the city of Leicester. As this 1986 news item shows, some of the problems associated with urban living were creeping into the area. Graffiti and vandalism were becoming a problem, but one bright group of pupils from the local school realised that the root problem was the lack of a local youth club. They took their quest to the media - all the more impressive when we know that they were only ten years old.
