Bonfire night, Black Country style.
Groaty pudding is a tasty, slow cooked mixture of groats (whole grains), beef, leeks, onions and stock traditionally eaten on Guy Fawkes Night in the Black Country. Reporter Doug Carnegie tends the bonfire at the Black Country Museum's Victorian village in Dudley - where better to celebrate this culinary custom? All we're missing is the clang of the local foundry and a decent pint of Banks' to wash it down.
A traditional bonfire at the Black Country Museum complete with local food.
