A ground-breaking pilot: Can you remember these famous faces from the early days of See Hear?
Deaf popular culture changed forever with the launch of See Hear in 1981 on BBC1. The magazine-style show not only gave viewers content in BSL, but commissioned special editions on subjects deaf viewers and their families were interested in; like new technology, and education. The program also launched a whole generation of careers in BSL television programming, which made it possible, just ten years later, to create an entire game show based around celebrities in the deaf world.
A gameshow made by and for deaf people, in which contestants need to identify a well-known personality from a partial image and guess the subject of an impersonation, among other games.
