Popular weekend quiz combined with a ‘higher-lower’ card game hosted by Bruce Forsyth.
A perfect vehicle for Bruce Forsyth, often opening with a dig at the previous week’s audience. The show featured two couples competing for big prizes (the familiar list of gadgets, holiday and car). Using a combination of questions and card turning provided some jeopardy for the contestants. Sometimes losing a big prize on the turn of the last card. The first half also featured guesswork on the questions - asking for estimates of results in random (often humourous) polls of 100 people. Giving Bruce plenty of opportunity to have some fun. In the second half the winners accumulate points on general knowledge questions, gambling their accrued points on the card turns for a high score. Winning the big prize. After all ‘What do points make?...Prizes!’
