Green Men, Yellow Woman

Green Men, Yellow Woman

Even Clark Gable doesn't live up to his image in this off-beat cartoon about a woman fed up with the attentions of little green men

Men might not be from Mars, but the pathetic or insincere attentions of these little green men offer nothing to this yellow woman. Even Clark Gable doesn't live up to his image. Thalma Goldman came to Britain in the late 1960s to study art and animation. Through the seventies she released a series of cartoons brimming with vitality that offered unconventional and challenging perspectives on sex and gender.

An animated film about a 'yellow' woman who becomes her own idol as a solution to the disappointment she feels with the reality of the 'green' men of her generation.
