Johann Sebastian Bach In Euro Deutschland

Johann Sebastian Bach In Euro Deutschland

Do you know your Europeans? This animated overview of Germany with Bach was part of a series on the new European Union

How do you solve a problem like Germania? Halas & Batchelor's Know Your Europeans project aimed to gather a series of new animated films together from all the countries of the new European Union. Christophe Simon heralded this German entry, with music playing a prominent part of the whistle-stop tour - from Bach to Kraftwerk. Sadly the project as a whole was not completed, but you can see Bob Godfrey's contribution The United Kingdom also on the BFI Player.

Animation short. When Johann Sebastian Bach crashes his Volkswagen Beetle into the Berlin wall he is knocked into a coma. His high speed ambulance ride to hospital is paralleled by the train of thought unleashed in his head.
