The Beatles

Love, Love me do! The Beatles twist and shout in Plymouth on the 10th date of their 1963 Autumn Tour.

This shows the Beatles visiting Plymouth from their arrival in a Rolls Royce and larking around in interview to taking to the stage at Plymouth's ABC cinema.

In March 1963 Parlophone and George Martin released the Beatles' debut studio album "Please, Please Me" including 8 songs written by Lennon and McCartney and a cover of "Twist and Shout". The LP contained 7 songs each side and was recorded 'live' in three sessions in one day. This was followed up in November by the release of the album "With the Beatles".
