Wye Valley and Boys at Ogmore c. 1951

From Tintern Methodist Church (in use 1861-1999 but now a private residence) and the ruins of Tintern Abbey in the Wye Valley, 3 young musketeers in short trousers and jackets descend on the vast beach at Ogmore, near Bridgend, discarding shoes and socks on the pebbles. Cheery Ken Jenkins, the film-maker’s son, retains his tie, however, throughout! His father was a stalwart of Cardiff Amateur Cine Society and proprietor of 'Vanda's' hair salon in the city's Charles Street.
