Great Wall

The 'great wall' of the title is not the famous Chinese wonder but a slightly less impressive heap of soil on the outskirts of Derby. This one may not be visible from space but for the residents of Galway Avenue in Chaddesden, who are putting up with the noise of daily construction work on the new A52 Borrowash by-pass, it is a much greater annoyance. Reporter Peter Plant finds out why they are not happy with the derisory offer of a forty pence rates reduction during the work.
