Shuttered Windows

This fundraising film promotes the work of the Blind Aid Society of Manchester and Salford. From the home teaching service, and cricket for the blind in Heaton Park, to the convalescent home in Southport, this is a record of the charitable help available to blind and partially sighted local people in the1930s. The film's commentary is also of its era, and the forthright terms used reflect this.
