Swimming gala, ATC parade and VE Day march, Hoylake

Hoylake on the Wirral and the Air Training Corps are the focus of this reel from filmmaker John Burdekin, himself a former flyer with the Royal Flying Corps. Here we see some local wartime activities, including Hoylake ATC cadets enjoying a swimming gala at Calday Grange Grammar School's open-air pool and practising their drill, and Hoylake marking VE Day with a victory parade through the town.
