Soda Syphon Joke

Soda Syphon Joke

Ooh la la! This chap becomes a little too engrossed in his French magazine, and ends up taking a cold shower

A classic music-hall gag blown up for the big screen so we can see this chap's soggy comeuppance all the better. When a Victorian gentleman becomes distracted by pictures of Parisian floozies in his magazine, he loses track of what he is doing with his hands, and the soda siphon that was once blocked, now fires freely ... which leads to a messy end. The joy of this 'facial' skit is not just in the sticky ending, but the array of funny faces the actor pulls on the way.

COMEDY. A man is sitting at a table drinking and smoking a cigarette while reading a saucy picture paper. The pictures cause him to puff on his cigarette, mop his face with his handkerchief and remove his hat. Still looking at the paper, he picks up the soda syphon to renew his drink and without noticing squirts the soda into his hat. He calls for the bill, leaves some money on the table, then puts his hat on, getting drenched.
