Crabbing at Gorran Haven

Fishermen of Gorran Haven set crab and lobster pots and land catches destined for Billingsgate fish market in London. Crabs and lobsters are caught in baited traps which are dropped to the seabed in groups with each trap attached by vertical line to a buoy. Traditional pots are made of wire and wood or withy and lobster traps are lowered to the sea floor but are rectangular as opposed to conical and round for crab.
