Methwold Fete, Norfolk

August Bank Holiday fete brings the community of Methwold together, captured by West Norfolk Cine Club member Mr Game.

In the afternoon on August Bank Holiday Monday in 1974, amateur filmmaker Mr J. Game of Downham Market, a member of the West Norfolk Cine Club, visited nearby Methwold, recording on film summer fete activities. West Norfolk's agricultural heritage draws a crowd with a demonstration of a great traction engine. A brass band entertains the visitors and there is a balloon race, trampolining, fancy dress, pony rides, Punch and Judy show, and sports races and games.
