The Auto Angels' Motorcycle Display Team (Westward Diary)

Auto Angels get into gear in Bodmin!

Westward TV reporter David Rodgers visits Bodmin in Cornwall to see members of the Auto Angels motorcycle display team perform a series of dramatic stunts including driving through rings of fire and riding over large ramps. In January 1982 the Auto Angels worked with the Moto-Stunts International team for the BBC production of ‘Not the Nine O'Clock News'.

The Moto-Stunts International team was founded by three ex-army motorcycle display riders, Tony Bailey, Robin ‘Smudger' Winter-Smith and Alan in 1977. The Auto Angels are an all-female division of this team working and training with Moto-Stunts International. Lizzette Daniel and Sue Rees and Tina ‘Firebird International' Roberts are three members of the Auto Angels display team. Members from both teams are involved with stunts in film and television and perform various shows up and down the country.
