Wandering Round the Harbour

This fascinating film from the Albany Cine Club shows shipping activity at Shoreham Harbour in the 1950s. We see a small sailboat enter the harbour to be dwarfed by a coastal cargo ship, the Lanarkbrook. After views of the harbour area we see another large coaster, the Elizabeth Lysaght, approach massive lock gates, which are opened for her. More gates open and the vessel glides to her berth in the dock. The film ends with a view of a residential house boat.
