Torquay Gastrofest (Westward Diary)

Food Glorious Food at Torquay's International Gastronomic Food Festival

Moyra Babington is a judge at this Torquay international Gastronomic Festival in 1977 with Westward John Doyle reporting. The gastronomic event showcases local produce and international cuisine. There are live demonstrations, cookery theatre and arts' and craft stalls. A mention is made about the rocketing price of food and the backdrop is the great Inflation of the 1970s. Torquay is part of the English Riviera and this festival draws a large audience.

Moyra is Westward TV's cookery expert and joined in 1962 to host ‘West Country Cooking'.
