Stately Homes of Newham: Then and Now

This excerpt takes us on a tour of the historic buildings of Newham before comparing them to the more modern structures of 1986. Taking in views of the bustling Stratford Broadway, a quiet residential street in Plaistow and a shopping area in East Ham, the film paints a vivid picture of the sites' history and former inhabitants. With the borough having undergone major redevelopments since it was filmed, ironically some of the modern buildings portrayed no longer exist.
