Camwell Personal Film No. 61: Reopening of Welshpool & Llanfair Railway

Amateur film from the Camwell collection showing steam trains and stations around Britain. This is one of two films from 6 April 1963, showing the reopening of the Welshpool & Llanfair Railway, after fundraising by volunteers and enthusiasts. This film shows the opening ceremony, with speeches and huge crowds of people gathered to watch the trains. As the train makes its way through the town, a pig escapes and runs across the tracks, chased by a farmer.
