Croydon Flyover

The Croydon Flyover was a much needed solution to congestion in post-war Croydon, but not necessarily an example of town planning at its best. The film shows the new road snaking towards the Town Centre and 'Nestlé Tower' but also remnants of historic Croydon. Over the Fire Station we glimpse St. John the Baptist church and get a better view of Croydon Library and Clocktower than can be seen today.
