About Women - Club 52

Club 52 founder, Jean Jurak, provides a lifeline for over 300 senior and disabled residents in the Norwich area. Known as “Samaritans on wheels”, Club 52 volunteers are car drivers who offer the usually housebound, transport to and from social events. After convalescing from an illness, and unable to drive her beloved Volkwagen 'Herbie', Jean put an advert in the local paper looking for someone to offer her occasional trips out. Overwhelmed with offers, Club 52 was formed.
