Holiday at Sandgate

In this colour film, made by Herman Voss in 1946, we see holiday makers walk along Sandgate's Esplanade while a young man poses by a large car. A view from the western end of the Esplanade shows the Waffle Inn and the beach. Next we visit the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway and see trains pass by, chock full of visitors in open-topped carriages. The family then goes for a swim on a beach near cliffs and end the day with a picnic. We also see a large house, which may be the family home.
